For such an expensive "professional" book, it sure is riddled with errors and inconsistencies.
By Ms. Ann Thrope
I had to purchase this book for a class I'm taking. It's riddled with inconsistencies, hard-to-follow timelines that often contradict each other, and spelling/wrong word usages. Unfortunately this class requires reading the entire text - which I hate for these very reasons.
Examples:
pg 13 - "The liberal agenda ended in the 1990s and was followed by the get-tough approach... The get-tough approach continued into the 1980s."
pg 53 - "Today the object of criminal punishment can be grouped into seven distinct areas: general deterrence, specific deterrence, in capitation..."
pg 66 - "Several studies have found that collective efficacy does function ta mediate..."
pg 66 - "the McArthur foundation has spent another works $23.6 million..."
pg 85 - "...was strongly related to female desistance. Instead, demisters..."
