I paid for an advertizement to her clinic.

I originally saw the author on Dr. Oz and thought maybe she had some good points to make about what my hormones are doing as I grow older. I guess there was some of that... but she kept referencing her clinic. Do this with supplements from her clinic, accomplish that with hcg from her clinic. I was a little angry I spent the money on the book.

A Shameless Plug for the HcG "Diet" Disguised as a Book

If I could give this book zero stars, I would. It is the only book I have ever asked for a refund for. His book did not provide any insight. The author tries to draw the reader in by writing about frustrating symptoms but in the end, the "solution" is the HcG diet along with other "supplements" that can conveniently be ordered from a website provided by the book. This reeks of a get-rich-quick scheme. I felt scammed out of my money and therefore got a refund.

Helped me out tremendously

This helped me out tremendously. It's written in a thorough, easy to understand language. I had tried an estrogen replacement which helped for a few months. But this book opened my eyes to the real condition of menopause - the lack of progesterone and in the right form. Some reviewers have criticized the author pushing products sold in her clinic, but I don't see a problem with that; she can make money on the book as well as on anything else she created or help create... she'd be crazy not to mention her products in her own book. She also shares detailed guidance on selecting a quality product. I found one from my local health food store that met the criteria she described and it seems to be working for me, no more hot flashes and night sweats have decreased significantly. It took about 3 weeks to kick in. I would not mind trying her products, but it's a little extra effort and maybe a little more $ since I can find something that works that's convenient. :)
